Solar Heated Bench
In states such as Massachusetts extreme weather conditions can occur making it less likely for residence to enjoy being outside. We have come up with a possible solution for consumers to sit outside in harsher conditions and still be comfortable. As a group we will be designing a solar powered heated and possibly cooling bench. The bench will be a two-person bench with a charging station in the middle and heating abilities in both the back and seat of the bench for cold weather. The solar panel will be positioned over the bench as for shade with a motor and sun tracker attached to utilize the efficiency of the panel. For the hot summer days, we plan on adding a light water mister that will collect water from the air to cool the user. After the use of FEA simulation a prototype of the product will be made to prove the effectiveness of the product.
